Just what we need...

TLC is running a program right now about people who've won the lottery. And of course, many of them were living in poverty before (on claims he had $3 left).

While it's marginally interesting to see what these people have done with their millions (and it's nice to see that some of them are pretty smart... one guy knows that he gets $18k/day in interest, and apparently tries hard to make sure he doesn't out-spend that), the problem is that they're obviously instilling the idea that "Yes, you too can escape poverty by buying lottery tickets!"

I wonder how many lives have been destroyed by the (mostly) false-hope of the lottery.
