Sunday night snaxxx and I went to Romeo's and had some excellent pasta. I also got a call from the office; there was a problem that needed to be resolved pronto. I worked on it for several hours Monday night, then had to be in the office at 8:30AM Tuesday. I finally got to leave around 5PM Tuesday. I was pretty tired at that point.
Tacos on Wednesday went great, with about 30 people here. I don't remember what I did Thursday night. Friday was karaoke and _fool's party. Since _fool is about 1/3 of the way to the dropzone, that's where I headed when I left his party.
One of the requirements to be a coach is assisting with 2 ground schools. Since there was a ground school Saturday I figured I'd help, even though I was really keen to do some jumping. I didn't realize there were 11 people in the class. It took forever; about 8 hours to run everyone through. It was still really satisfying though, and I'm very enthused that 2 or 3 of the students made multiple jumps this weekend. It's cool that I helped start a bunch of new people off on their skydiving career. Now some of you just need to get out there!
Today was a rather slow day. Not many experienced jumpers, so I just did 2 hop 'n pop's and a 6 way. Oh well. The good news is that I now own a container, Cypress, and main canopy. The main needs to be re-lined and I want to get a bigger reserve than what's in the container now, but hopefully this was the last weekend of rental gear.
